Welcome to Carole's official web site! I'm Carole's great-niece Tammy - my grandmother was her sister Dorothy. Growing up I heard many stories about my famous aunt from my grandmother and my mom. Aunt Carole inspired me to be a more compassionate person and to serve others in my life. I truly am blessed that I had such an amazing aunt who did so much for others! And her beauty is not just skin deep - it's who she is inside as well. I'm starting this site with the full support of my family.
We don't like most of the books about Aunt Carole because they have tarnished her image. The ONLY biography we endorse is Carole Landis: A Tragic Life In Hollywood written by E.J. Fleming. There are many web sites that are using our photos without permission. In 2003 a family member made the mistake of letting someone copy pictures from our private collection. No one in the Ross or Powell family ever gave consent for those photos to be used online or in a book. We do allow Carole Landis Online to use our pictures.
A big THANK YOU to my good friend Elizabeth for helping with this site, Carole's devoted fans Gwen Serna, Mark Martinez, and Joshua Curtis for their support, my "cousins" Tammie Hefty and Stacy Reller for contributing photos.
