Welcome to Carole's official web site!!! I'm Carole's great-niece Tammy - my grandmother was her sister Dorothy. Growing up I heard many stories about my famous aunt from my grandmother and my mom. Aunt Carole inspired me to be a more compassionate person and to serve others in my life. I truly am blessed that I had such an amazing aunt who did so much for others! And her beauty was not just skin deep - it's who she was inside as well. My family wanted to create this site so we could clear up all the lies and tell everyone about the real Carole.
We don't like most of the books about Aunt Carole because they have tarnished her image. The ONLY biography we endorse is Carole Landis: A Tragic Life In Hollywood written by our friend E.J. Fleming. There are many web sites that are using our photos without permission. In 2003 a family member made the mistake of letting someone copy pictures from our private collection and some of them were stolen. No one in the Ross or Powell family ever gave consent for those photos to be used online or in a book. We do allow Carole Landis Online to use our pictures.
A big THANK YOU to my good friend Elizabeth for helping with this site...she is Carole's most devoted fan. Since starting this site I've met so many of Carole's wonderful fans and even found some distant cousins. Thanks for sharing your stories and photos with me. We are always looking for more of Carole's relatives! I am interested in finding any other members of the Ridste or Zentek families and anyone who is related to Carole's step-father Charles Fenner.
